It focuses on the planning and organization of outdoor spaces, such as gardens, parks, squares or outdoor living areas. It is concerned with the building's relationship with the surrounding natural and built landscape. The focus is on shaping the outdoor space in a functional and aesthetically harmonious way, integrating architecture and nature. It involves the use of vegetation, paving, furniture and ecological systems. Although the focus is on the external environment, there is a great tendency to work on interior landscaping.
